Two for Patrice from Night Owl Quilting


Patrice made this quilt for her nephew.  The low contrast  blue color palette makes for a lovely neutral quilt.


Patrice selected the Galaxy pantograph which added a lovely amount of texture.


Patrice selected a navy Stonehenge from my collection of wide backs to continue the theme on the back.






This second quilt will be a donation to one of Patrice's favorite charities.  The blocks might look familiar as a placemat pattern.  Patrice revamped this project part way through and made a lovely quilt instead of a set of placemats.

My Crayon Box from Night Owl Quilting


Eileen made this "My Crayon Box" quilt for one of her great nephews.  She found the pattern in the September/October issue of Quiltmaker magazine.  It is also available to purchase on the Quilting Daily website here.


Eileen selected the Galaxy pantograph as it reminded her of the shapes a child would make doodling with a fresh crayon.  The hardest part for me was suggesting an appropriate thread color.  I tested a couple of variegated threads, but they were too overpowering so So Fine #504 - Silver Screen was the perfect subtle light grey than wasn't as bright as white ...
